The project team successfully organized a bigger launch event on 24th February 2018. The event was aimed at introducing the new program (gatakhor) to youth across the nation. It was also used as a platform for the youth to meet, interact, share and listen to messages of peace.

More than 500 participants participated at the launch of gatakhor in Juba; mostly youth aged 15-40 years old. This number represented multi-cultural/ethnic youth groups in South Sudan. The event was attended besides the youth, government officials, civil society organizations, musicians, comedians and theatre groups. Live performances by South Sudan Theatre Organization, South Sudan Red Cross, musicians and comedians were part of the activities during the launch event
